Non-EEA student 2012/2013
For students from non-EEA countries, the fees will remain at the same level as the 2011-2012 academic year. For information about fees for the part-time programmes in Accounting and Control, Marketing and Business Administration, please contact the faculty. The fees for extraneus ('exams-only' students) are €9,000.
Nationals of non-EEA countries are liable for the same fees as nationals of EEA countries if their spouse or registered partner is a national of an EEA country and is legally resident in the Netherlands. In these cases, students are required to send proof of this to the student administration.
Tuition fees Non-EEA 2012-2013 bachelor
- €9,000.- for all courses and programmes offered by the faculties: Arts, Theology exept for the bachelor Theology, Philosophy, Law, Economics and Business Administration, Social Sciences, and Psychology and Education.
- €2,800.- for the fulltime (joint) bachelorprogramme Theology.
- €2,464.- for the parttime (joint) bachelorprogramme Theology.
- €11,000.- for all courses offered by the faculties Earth and Life Sciences, Sciences and Human Movement Sciences.
- €15,000.- for the Bachelor's programme in Medicine.
- €25,000.- for the Bachelor's programme in Dentistry.
- €11,491.- for the bachelor's programme Liberal Arts and Sciences of the Amsterdam University College.
Special transition arrangements (Bachelor's programmes) apply to students who were registered at VU University Amsterdam on 1 February 2010 (except where pre-existing transition arrangements already apply).
Tuition fees Non-EEA 2012-2013 master
- €10,500,- for programmes offered by the faculties of Arts, Theology and Philosophy
- €12,000.- for programmes offered by the faculties of Law, Economics and Business Administration, Social Sciences, Psychology and Education, Earth and Life Sciences, Sciences, Human Movement Sciences.
- € 12,000.- for the Research Master Medicine
- €15,000.- for Medicine
- € 25,000.- for Dentistry
- € 9,000.- for the programme MPhil in Economics (Tinbergen)
Special transition arrangements (Master's programmes) apply to students who were registered at VU University Amsterdam on 1 February 2010 (except where pre-existing transition arrangements already apply).
The fees are the same for full-time, part-time and dual programmes.
Exceptions
- Amsterdam University College (AUC) students.
- Surinamese nationals: Suriname is not an EEA country, but students from Suriname can pay the EEA tuition fee.
- Non-EEA nationals can pay the EEA tuition fee rate if they have
- a solely lawfully residency permit based on an asylum residency permit for a definite or indefinite period of time
- a solely lawfully residency permit based on a normal residency permit for an indefinite period of time
- a solely lawfully residency permit based on a normal residency permit for a definite period, granted in connection with family reunification, family formation or partnership (with a EEA national).
Students have to send proof to the Student Administration (in case of a partnership we also need a copy of the partners ID).
